Coronavirus FAQs

Last Updated on August 17, 2022 by user

We are experiencing uncharted territory with the outbreak of COVID-19, and the health and safety of our clients and community is paramount to us.

Please see below FAQs around what to do if you suspect that you or others have the virus:

What do I do if I suspect I have COVID-19 and where can I get checked?

In the event that you experience symptoms such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing, call one of the below numbers immediately for support. They will direct you to the best hospital or clinic while ensuring the safety of others.

  • Ministry of Health & Prevention: 80011111
  • Medical Operations & Command Centre: 8001717
  • Dubai Health Authority: 800342

Does my insurance cover COVID-19?

As with any illness, if you require a consultation from your GP, this will be subject to your policy terms and conditions (for example if you have to pay a deductible/ percentage of the consultation).

If in fact you are diagnosed with COVID-19, you will be admitted into a Government facility free of charge.

Are there any travel restrictions?

This is changing by day but for now, the guidance for UAE residents is to limit abroad travel until further notice.

Dubai airports have been carrying out strict measures such as non-intrusive thermal screening for all passengers that arrive at the airport and passengers from countries with a high infection rate are screened twice.

Which countries are most at risk?

At this time, the countries experiencing the worst of COVID-19 are China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain & Germany. We recommend keeping an eye here for live updates

Please see below material containing guidelines from the World Health Organization as a reminder for you and your team. You can also find contact details for hospitals and clinics within your Bayzat app.
